Artists Statement

 

Children and their development through the various phases of their lives as they try to decipher and relate to the world around them are themes within my painting.

 

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art from Byam Shaw.  I previously studied Social Sciences and worked in lecturing and research, developing basic skills projects and various community projects for young people and for children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.  I have also worked as a play therapist in a London Primary School.   I have a four year old son.
